...to the web pages of the QUASAR group (Quantum Systems and advanced Accelerator Research).

As an internationally structured research group, we cover the development and experimental exploitation of particle accelerators.

Our present research activities include:

Development of a novel electrostatic storage ring for the deceleration and storage of ultra-low energy antiprotons;
Detector development for medical imaging and dosimetry in particle beam cancer therapy
Simulation of normal- and superconducting rf linear accelerators;
Instrumentation of future high energy accelerators;
R&D in opto-electronics.

Moreover, the QUASAR group is proud of its role as coordinator of the European network DITANET.
